Flash EXE Builder allows you to save a project file. A project file contains every settings you project may have. This way you can simply open the project file in the future without the need to redo all your work.

Saving a project file

Click File => Save to save a project file.

Note that unless the project is a special archive .ISS file, the project file will only save the path of all it's dependencies. You need to make sure that those files are still available at the original location when you open this project file in the future.

This will make it easier to modify the dependency file without the need to reload them.

Save as a project archive

To save the project with all it's file dependencies into a special .ISS file. This project file can still be opened and saved normally. However once a project is saved as an archive, it will remain to be an archive. Meaning, all it's dependencies are now kept within the project file as a copy of their original files. Any changes to the original dependency files will not cause any effect to the copied version.

This feature is handy if you want to send the project to another PC with different directory structure.

When you open a special .ISS file, an [Archive] string will be shown next to the project filename at the application window title bar.
